Reckless Sevierville drag racers cause car accident

Two Sevierville, Tennessee, men were involved in a drag racing incident that led to a car accident that sent three people to the hospital. The car crash appears to have resulted from the negligent and reckless driving by the alleged drag racers.

While racing, one of the drivers lost control rounding a corner and collided with a truck. The driver of the car and the driver and passenger of the truck were transported to UT Medical Center. The other drag racer was later arrested and charged with leaving the scene, drag racing and aggravated assault. Charges are pending against the other injured driver.

The victims of this car crash, and those who have faced similar wrecks, have options available to them to help with their medical expenses caused by injuries they may have sustained in the crash.

If the drag racers were insured, one option would be to pursue recovery from the insurance company. Insurance companies frequently seek to settle claims and in these situations it is important to have an experienced negotiator who is capable of acquiring the highest settlement possible. This will ensure that the victims are properly compensated for their injuries.

Another option for these victims would be to sue the drivers as individuals. If the reckless and negligent driving directly injured the victims in the truck, the alleged drag racers could be held responsible.

To ensure full deserved compensation, car accident victims should pursue all options available to them. If negligent drivers are held accountable for their actions, it may deter others from reckless acts like drag racing.
