Campbell County accident leaves 3 dead

Many people think that if they drive attentively and take notice of other drivers they will avoid accidents. While being alert can greatly reduce the risk, the fact is that a car accident can take one by surprise at any time. These wrecks are often tragic, leaving victims seriously injured or even dead. One such fatal accident happened on Christmas Eve in Campbell County.

There, a pickup truck was driving down the highway when it crossed the center line and slammed head-on into an oncoming car. The pickup then caught fire. Two individuals in the car were killed along with the driver of the pickup. Police are investigating the cause of the crash. They have requested alcohol and drug tests.

The loss of a loved one caused by the negligence of another can leave families devastated. Not only do these families have to cope with no longer seeing or hearing a relative, but they must also deal with the financial consequences of a deadly accident, which can serve as an emotional barrier to recovery. While legal action cannot bring a loved one back, it can go a long way in helping families grieve and remember their relative while focusing on moving forward.

Accidents caused by a negligent driver, like the one in Campbell County, can be prevented. People in Tennessee and others elsewhere must work diligently to prevent fatal accidents. That means obeying all traffic laws and remaining attentive whenever they are behind the wheel of a motor vehicle.
