Tennessee lawmakers seek to toughen DUI laws

Drunk driving is still far too common across Tennessee. Every year, victims and families are forced to cope with losses suffered when these intoxicated motorists injure them or kill a loved one in a drunk driving accident. This can be challenging, as the emotional toll alone can be staggering. Add physical pain and suffering, medical expenses, lost wages and possibly funeral expenses into the mix and the situation can become overwhelming.

How can semi-truck rollovers be prevented?

Tennesseans who drive on a regular basis are likely in close proximity to semi-trucks at any given time. Though an important part of our economy, these massive vehicles can prove dangerous when improperly driven. This can be especially true when a truck rollover occurs. In these instances, multiple vehicles can become involved, putting multiple individuals at risk of harm.

Costner & Green fights for car accident victims' rights

Last week on the blog we discussed some of the injuries that you could suffer if you are involved in a car accident. Some injuries, such as scrapes and bruises, are relatively minor, and can be treated with at-home care. Others, though, like head, neck and back injuries, can be quite serious, requiring extensive medical care and rehabilitation that can last years. In some instances, victims need life-long care. This medical care can be extremely expensive, and, when you are unable to work, it can throw your finances into a tailspin.

What types of injuries could I suffer in a car accident?

Car accidents have a wide range of severity. A minor bump between two vehicles may not even damage a car's paint job, let alone an individual's body. High-speed collisions, on the other hand, can prove deadly. Despite this wide range, though, there are some common injuries that you may experience if you are involved in an accident. It is important to identify these injuries, particularly if you are considering taking legal action, so that you can make a claim for the full extent of your damages.
