Tennessee motorcyclist injured after car crosses center line

A head injury, a neck injury, broken bones, a permanent disability, and death are all real possible outcomes of a motorcycle wreck. If one is fortunate enough to survive a motorcycle accident, recovery can take years. In some instances, the injuries are permanent. Either way, life after a motorcycle accident can be challenging. Oftentimes, a victim's only hope of fully recovering and moving on with life is costly medical care and expensive rehabilitation services. A Powell man may be facing this frightening reality.

The Powell man was involved in an accident when an oncoming car crossed the center line and hit him head-on. The motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital. He survived the accident, but beyond that there has been no report of his condition. The negligent driver in this case may have ruined the motorcyclist's life, and he should be held accountable.

When a motorcycle rider receives serious injuries at the hands of a speeding driver or a distracted driver, a lawsuit may be his only route to financial stability so he can seek the care he needs for a full recovery. The accident victim must prove the negligent driver caused the accident which resulted in the victim's injuries before compensation can be obtained.

Succeeding in a lawsuit against a negligent driver means the victim can pay off medical expenses and pay for future long-term care, if needed. Additionally, the victim can recover awards for pain and suffering and lost wages. This way, the victim can have a little comfort to help ease what he has been through since the accident.

Motorcycle unawareness is a continuing problem throughout Tennessee and the nation as a whole. While police action can help prevent these accidents and punitively punish those who cause them, only a civil suit gives the victim a shot at obtaining much needed compensation.
